Alcohol And Impotence |
Alcohol can increase your appetite and lower your testosterone levels for up to 24 hours after you finish drinking with your buddies. The damaging effects of alcohol on testosterone are made even worse when you exercise before drinking. You may have already heard that alcohol contain empty calories which leads to the infamous beer gut, but that's only part of the story. According to studies done by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, less than 5% of the calories from alcohol is stored as fat and the alcohol slows down your body in burning fat. Here is how the study was done. There were two different groups of men. Group A were given drinks of vodka and Group B was given sugar-free lemonade. Each drink contained less than 90 calories. After 30 minutes, fat metabolism was measured before and after consumption of the drink. For several hours after drinking the vodka, their bodies fat burning activities dropped by a massive 73%. It's not the calories in the alcohol that is the killer Aphrodisiacs and male libido enhancers are described. Here are some of them: "honey-sweetened milk in which the testicles of a ram or a goat have been simmered making a man as powerful as a bull" "pumpkin seeds ground with almonds and sugarcane root, or with cowhage root and strips of bamboo, and stirred into honeyed milk" "wheat-flour cakes baked with honey and sugar and sprinkled with the powdered seeds of pumpkin and cowhage give one strength for a thousand women", "the yolk of a single sparrow's egg stirred into rice pudding that has been thickened with cream, wild-honey and "ghee" (clarified butter)" Most people believe alcohol will be stored as fat, but the real killer of alcohol is that it gets converted into a substance called acetate by your liver. The studies show that blood levels of acetate after drinking the vodka were 2.5 times higher than normal. Now why is acetate so bad for fat loss? |
