Levitra is a prescription-only medication and should never be taken without consulting a doctor first. Do not take Levitra if you are taking any drug containing nitrates in any form. The interaction of nitrates with Levitra can lead to a sudden drop in blood pressure and result in stroke, fainting spells or even heart attack. Before taking Levitra, inform your doctor if you are allergic to vardenafil or to any of the other ingredients in Levitra.Your doctor also needs to know if you have pre-existing illnesses such as irregular heartbeat or other forms of heart disease; blood clots or stroke; Low or high blood pressure; kidney or liver disease; disorders of the blood or blood cells such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia or multiple myeloma; retinitis pigmentosa; stomach ulcers; penile deformities such as Peyronie's disease; or if you have been advised to refrain from sexual activity for medical reasons. |
